W and S ride the throttle and brake triggers on the longest ramps in the racing set, so a key press builds to full pedal instead of stamping it, and A and D steer through the same ramp with Alt held for half lock when a high-speed correction has to be small. Shift and Ctrl take the upshift and downshift on Cross and Square, the face buttons Assetto Corsa ships gears on, while Space pulls the handbrake on Circle and C cycles the camera. Q, E and X reach L1, R1 and the right stick click for the look left, look right and look back slots, which this game leaves for you to assign in its own controls menu; the mouse stays out of the steering.
