Privacy Policy
A plain-language OmniControl privacy policy explaining that the marketing site is static and cookie-free, the desktop app keeps your configuration local, and a Pro license only uses your email and key to validate the purchase.
Last updated: 2026-07-22
OmniControl is a Windows desktop app for remapping controllers and emulating a virtual controller. This policy explains what we do and do not collect. The short version: your setup lives on your PC, and we keep the rest to the minimum needed to sell and support the app.
The website
The OmniControl marketing site is a static site. It does not set tracking or advertising cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not sell your data. Visiting a page does not require an account.
If you follow a link out to our Discord community or to a payment provider, those services have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to read them.
The desktop app
OmniControl runs locally on your machine.
- Your controller mappings, sticks and triggers, motion settings, macros, overlay setup, and per-game profiles are stored on your device.
- These configurations stay on your PC. We do not upload your profiles or read your inputs off your machine.
- The app talks to the network only for things you would expect, such as checking for updates and validating a Pro license.
The app emulates a virtual controller through ViGEmBus for single-player and controller-friendly games. It is not built to defeat anti-cheat, and kernel anti-cheat competitive shooters are out of scope.
Pro licenses
OmniControl has a free tier and a one-time Pro purchase sold as a license key. There is no subscription.
- To sell and validate a Pro license, we handle your email address and your license key.
- These are used to confirm your purchase, deliver your key, activate Pro, and provide support. We do not use them for advertising.
- Payment itself is handled by a payment provider, so your card details are processed by them, not stored by us.
Support and email
If you email support@omnicontrol.me, we keep your message and email address so we can help you and follow up. Please share only what is needed to resolve your issue.
Your requests
You can contact support@omnicontrol.me with any privacy question or data request, including asking what we hold that is tied to your email or license, correcting it, or asking us to delete it. Because your configurations live on your own PC, you can remove those yourself at any time by deleting them locally or uninstalling the app.
Children
OmniControl and this website are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Third parties
OmniControl is an independent product. It is not affiliated with Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo, and referencing their platforms here does not imply any endorsement.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app and website evolve. Material changes will be reflected here, and you can see product updates in the changelog. For more on how features work, see the docs.
