Terms of Service
Plain-language Terms of Service for OmniControl covering the licence grant, Free vs Pro, subscriptions and cancellation, refunds and your right to cancel, acceptable use, no warranty, and IP ownership.
Last updated: 2026-08-24
These terms cover your use of the OmniControl desktop app and website. By installing or using OmniControl, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the software.
You can reach us by email at playomnicontrol@gmail.com or through the Discord community. We answer in English.
The licence we grant you
OmniControl is licensed to you for personal use, not sold. You may install and use it on the Windows computers you own or control to remap controllers, emulate virtual controllers, run macros, use keyboard and mouse input, and configure per-game profiles.
You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the software, and you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or work around its licensing except where that restriction is not allowed by law.
Free and Pro
OmniControl has a Free tier and a Pro tier. Free covers reading, mapping and tuning your controller, and does not need an account.
There are three ways to get Pro, and not all of them are on sale at once:
- Insider is a monthly subscription. It renews every month until you cancel it.
- Pro Annual is a yearly subscription. It renews every year until you cancel it, and costs less than paying monthly for the same twelve months.
- Founders Lifetime is a one-time purchase of Pro for the life of the product. It is a limited founding offer and is not always on sale.
When Founders Lifetime is not being offered, the two subscriptions are the ways to buy Pro.
Both unlock the same Pro feature set. Keep any licence key private: it unlocks Pro on your machines, and sharing it publicly may lead to it being disabled. Buy Pro only through our official channels, because we cannot support or honour keys from third-party resellers.
Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
This section applies to both subscription plans, monthly Insider and Pro Annual.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the price shown when you subscribed, and continues until you cancel. Insider renews every month; Pro Annual renews every year.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, for any reason, from the billing portal linked in your account, or by emailing us. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
- What happens when you cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, whether that is the rest of the month or the rest of the year. We do not cut you off mid-period, and we do not charge you again after you cancel.
- Changing plan. You can switch between monthly and annual from the billing portal. Stripe applies the difference for the time you have already paid for.
- When a subscription ends, or a payment fails. Pro features lock and the app returns to the Free tier. Nothing you made is deleted. Your profiles, mappings, tuning, macros and packs stay on your computer exactly as they were, and they work again the moment Pro is active again.
- Price changes. If we change the price of an existing subscription, we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Founders Lifetime is not a subscription. It is charged once and never renews.
Refunds and cancellation
OmniControl unlocks as soon as payment goes through, so the free tier is there to be used first. It is a full version of the app with the free features unlocked and no time limit, and trying it on your own machine, with your own controller and your own games, is the surest way to know Pro is worth it before you pay for it.
If you do need a refund, email us and we will look at it properly rather than point you at a deadline:
- If you were charged for a subscription renewal you did not intend, we will refund that renewal.
- If you bought by mistake and have not used Pro, we will refund you.
Email playomnicontrol@gmail.com from the address you bought with, or quote it in the message, and tell us roughly what happened. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually take 5 to 10 days to appear.
Nothing here affects any statutory rights you have where you live, including your rights if the software is faulty or not as described.
Acceptable use
OmniControl is built for single-player and controller-friendly games, and for making your own setup more comfortable and accessible.
You agree not to use OmniControl to:
- Defeat, bypass, or tamper with anti-cheat systems, including kernel-level anti-cheat in competitive shooters, which are out of scope for this software.
- Break the rules, terms, or fair-play policies of any game, platform, or service.
- Gain an unfair advantage over other players in online or ranked play.
- Do anything unlawful.
How you use OmniControl in a given game is your responsibility. Some publishers restrict input tools, and using them may put your game account at risk. Please check the rules of the games you play.
No warranty
OmniControl is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. You use it at your own risk.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, hardware issues, or account actions taken by a game or platform. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Trademarks and affiliation
OmniControl is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo. PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and related names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners, referenced only to describe compatibility.
Intellectual property
OmniControl, including its software, name, branding, website, and documentation, remains our property and is protected by law. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the licence above. The configurations and profiles you create are yours.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the software and website evolve. When we do, we will revise the date above. Continuing to use OmniControl after an update means you accept the revised terms. Meaningful changes will be noted in the changelog.
Complaints and disputes
If something has gone wrong, email us first and we will try to put it right. Most things are settled that way. If we cannot resolve it between us, you keep whatever routes to dispute resolution are available to you where you live.
