The Definitive Edition's Modern control scheme, on foot. Shift hold-repeats the tap-to-sprint face button, right mouse holds the lock-on trigger and left mouse fires, Tab holds the weapon wheel so the mouse can flick through it, and V cycles the camera on the touchpad. Sprinting with a weapon drawn is disabled by the game, not by this preset.

The driving half of the Grand Theft Auto III pair: W and S become the analog throttle and brake with a 165 ms ramp so a keyboard can feather them over a stream, A and D steer, Space is the handbrake and the left mouse button is the drive-by, which is where the Definitive Edition's Modern scheme puts them. Swap to this with a profile hotkey when you get in a car, because one key cannot be the left stick on foot and the throttle in a vehicle.
