Keyboard & mouse
Keyboard & Mouse mode drives a virtual controller from your keyboard and mouse, so you can play controller-only games with W+A+S+D and aim with the mouse. It presents a real virtual pad through emulation, so the game sees a genuine device.
What it does
Keyboard & Mouse maps your inputs onto a virtual Xbox 360 or DualShock 4 pad:
- W+A+S+D moves the left stick.
- The mouse drives the aim stick.
- Any key can act as a button, a trigger, or a bound macro.
Because the output goes through Emulation, the game treats it as a controller. This is for controller-only and controller-friendly titles, not for adding a mouse to a game that already supports one.
Anti-cheat boundary
OmniControl is for single-player and controller-friendly games. It is not a tool for defeating anti-cheat. Kernel-anti-cheat competitive shooters are out of scope - do not use Keyboard & Mouse to bring mouse aim into games that ban it.
Enable Keyboard & Mouse
Select it as your input
On the Emulation tab, choose Keyboard & Mouse as the input driving the virtual pad.
Pick the output pad
Choose Xbox 360 or DualShock 4 as the emulated controller the game will see.
Open the Keyboard & Mouse page
This is where you map keys and run calibration.

Map WASD and keys
W+A+S+D is bound to the left stick by default. Assign the remaining keys to face buttons, bumpers, triggers, or macros to match the game. Adjust the mouse sensitivity slider so aim feels right before you calibrate.
Turn-match calibration
Calibration is timing-free. Instead of measuring reaction speed, you turn one full circle in-game and OmniControl locks your turn rate so aim tracks the mouse consistently.
Line up a landmark
Stand still in-game and point your view at a fixed reference - a doorway, a wall corner, anything you can return to.
Press F8 to start
F8 works from any focused window, so you can trigger it while the game has focus.
Turn one full circle
Rotate your view exactly 360 degrees with the mouse until the landmark lines up again.
Press F8 to stop
Press F8 the moment your view returns to the landmark. OmniControl locks your in-game turn rate from that single circle.
Redo it anytime
If aim feels too fast or too slow, run turn-match again. Each game can hold its own calibration.
Play Mode
Play Mode is the state in which your keyboard and mouse drive the pad. Toggle it on when you want mouse-and-keyboard control and off to return your inputs to normal desktop use.
Saving per game
Your Keyboard & Mouse setup - key mappings, sensitivity, and turn-match calibration - saves per game as part of that game's profile. When the game takes focus its profile loads automatically, and it unloads when you leave. See Profiles & Game Center for how profiles switch on their own.
