Troubleshooting
Most problems come down to one of a few settings being off. Work through the section that matches your symptom - each fix is short and self-contained.
Anti-cheat boundary
OmniControl is built for single-player and controller-friendly games. It is not a tool for defeating anti-cheat, and kernel-level anti-cheat competitive shooters are out of scope. If a game with strict anti-cheat rejects a virtual pad, that is expected behavior - do not try to work around it.
Controller and emulation
The game does not see my controller
If your inputs work in OmniControl but the game ignores them, the game is most likely waiting on the virtual pad rather than your physical one.
Check the emulation output
Confirm ViGEmBus is installed
Set the game's input
DualSense extras are missing
Gyro aiming, DualSense adaptive-trigger effects, and other motion features come over USB.
Tip
Connect the pad with a USB cable. Over Bluetooth these extras are not available. See Motion aiming and Sticks & triggers for the related settings.
Keyboard, mouse, and profiles
Aim drifts in Keyboard & Mouse mode
If the aim stick over- or under-turns compared to your mouse, the saved turn rate no longer matches the game.
Re-run turn-match
Match the game
My profile does not switch automatically
Profiles load when a game takes focus, but only if the profile is linked to that game.
Tie the profile to the game
Give focus to the game
Hardware
My sticks drift on their own
Small unwanted stick movement at rest is usually physical drift, which OmniControl can measure and compensate for.
Run Calibration
Add a deadzone if needed
Note
Calibration is stored per profile, so run it again for each profile where you notice drift.
Still stuck
If none of the above fixes it, ask in the community - include your controller model, connection type, and the game.
